I have two teens.
Yes, I still have my sanity…sort of.
Yes, I have gray hair. When my teens gleefully point that out I remind them that they gave me those gray hairs.
They get a kick out of that.
But seriously, I LOVE my teens. I love how independent and grown up they are now. And that reminds me that I only have a little time left to teach them all of the life skills that they will need for when they go out in the world.
*Sniff*
So I decided that I’m going to teach them one new skill or strategy each week.
I thought it would be a good idea to post what I teach them here on a weekly basis. I figured that would serve several purposes.
- It will give you something to share with your teens if you like.
- It will provide my teens with something they can reference later in life so if they forget how to get out coffee stains they can come back here and look.
- It will give ME something to look back at if I forget how to get out coffee stains or anything else. You know how that goes.
So here is what I’m going to do. I am going to create a post each week addressed to teens. These posts will go up on Tuesdays and they will cover different life skills that I believe teens need for this world and the next. To make it easier for you (and me), I will link to all of these posts on this page. You may want to bookmark this post so you can find it easily.
If you have any suggestions or ideas about the types of skills you would like to see covered here, feel free to mention them in the comment section.
