The 2nd Day of Christmas Book – The Crippled Lamb

The Crippled Lamb
God has a special plan for each and every one of us. That’s what the 2nd day of Christmas book is about. I like that thought. 🙂

Max Lucado’s book, The Crippled Lamb, tells the endearing story of a crippled lamb named Joshua. Joshua is unhappy because he can’t run and play with the other sheep. Fortunately, a kind, old cow consoles the lamb and tells him that God has a special place for him. That special place turns out to be tied to a unique event in the history of mankind. I won’t tell you what it is though. 😉

There is something about this story that just brings a tear to my eye. Maybe it’s the way it shows God’s love and mercy to those who feel left out. Perhaps it’s the way it reveals the perfection of God’s plans for us. I don’t know what it is, but it’s worth the tear.

I think The Crippled Lamb is the perfect addition to any homeschool library. It will leave your children with the feeling that they too are an important part of God’s plan.

Many blessings,
Susan's siggy
