When I homeschooled my kids (who are grown now), I prayed a lot.
You probably do too. After all, how can you be expected to make it through a homeschool day without some kind of divine intervention, right?
I was just thinking the other day of the kinds of prayers that we as homeschoolers would probably utter on a daily basis. I know there are probably hundreds of them, but I was kind of narrowing it down to ten biggies.
I thought I’d share those 10 prayers with you in case you were needing some inspiration.
(And some homeschool humor! 😉 ).
10 Prayers of a Homeschool Mom
- Father, please let me know if anyone is coming over today so that I can make sure that my children are dressed.
- Lord, help us to get through an entire lesson for once without getting off track.
- Dear Lord, may I get the laundry folded and put away…someday.
- Heavenly Father, may I be blessed with technology that works right for once.
- God forbid that we have a normal day today.
- Almighty Father, if I don’t know the answer to a question, please show it to me on Google.
- Lord, can the toilet paper rolls be replaced, the dishes washed, the laundry folded, the meals cooked, and the trash be taken out by someone other than just ME today?
- Father, may I get through this day without speaking my children’s middle names.
- Lord, I’m going to talk to YOU today because you’re the only one in this house who is listening to me.
- Dear Lord, please make sure there is always coffee in my home or I’m going to HURT someone.
I’m sure these 10 prayers are just scratching the surface. If I think of others, I will post them here again. (Check back here later to see if I do!) In the meantime, have a prayerful day full of homeschool humor!
