I think a little nonsense is good for the soul.
It’s bizarre, outlandish, and humorous. It makes us laugh, forces us to use our imaginations, and sparks creativity.
It also adds a bit of entertainment to our homeschools. 😉
I have some free nonsense for you today in the form of copywork pages your kids can do.
These pages have a nonsense verse about a monkey, a crawfish, and a bluebird. I won’t waste your time by going into any more detail than that. You can see for yourself what these three characters do when you click on the link below. However, if you or your child really like nonsense verse like this one, you may want to get the copywork book that these pages are taken from, that being Nonsense Verse Copywork. It has excerpts from 30 different nonsense poems by authors such as Edward Lear, Lewis Carroll, and R.L. Stevenson. The verses are in eight different formats, four manuscript and four cursive. Also included are pictures for your child to color, ideas for fun copywork projects, and a list of classical music for your child to listen to while writing.
