I thought I’d start out this 31 day bonanza of freebies with something that will help your kids learn place value.
Place value helps your kids understand how a one here:
1
and a one here:
145
differ from each other.
That’s why I’m giving you a full-color mat that can be used to help your children learn about the value of numbers through the millions.
It comes from the One in a Million Place Value Pack which is a collection of place value cards, mats, and fun, hands-on activities that help kids learn about numbers big and small. With the materials in this printable set, your children can practice building, reading, and comparing multi-digit numbers from 1 to 9,999,999.
Also included are three games, Build It, Build a Skyscraper, and Build a House. With these games your children will learn to build numbers according to certain specifications, build big numbers, and build small numbers. The Build It game can be played alone or with a group. The Build a Skyscraper/House games can be played by two or more players. They’re a fun way for your children to practice their number sense skills because games are always fun. Period.
